Arun K. Bhunia是食品微生物学教授。于美国怀俄明大学获得博士学位,美国阿肯色大学深造博士后。Bhunia的研究重点是利用光学和电传感器进行病原体检测,包括蛋白质生物芯片以及肠道感染期间单核细胞增生李斯特氏菌发病机制;使用益生菌和纳米复合物进行控制病原菌;讲授微生物食源性病原体和微生物技术、肠道微生物学和免疫学。Bhunia共发表近200篇文章、2部教科书、2本编辑书籍、15本书章节,受邀在美国本土和国际会议上做了100余次主题演讲和报告。Bhunia曾获得普渡农业研究奖(2003年)、普渡大学学者奖(2005年)、普渡大学奖(2006年)、IFT研发奖(2009年)、食品科学系(2010年,2011年)和农业学院(2013)杰出研究生教育奖。Bhunia是2013年至今的食品微生物标准国家咨询委员会成员;《开放医学微生物学》杂志和《开放应用生物传感器学报》总编辑;《营养与食品科学学报》、《应用生物传感器学报》、《生物医学与生物技术学报》等编辑;《食品保护学报》编辑委员。
Arun Bhunia is a Professor of Food Microbiology. Bhunia obtained a Ph.D. degree from the University of Wyoming, Laramie, Wyo, USA, and Postdoctoral training from the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, AR, USA. Bhunia's research focuses on pathogen detection employing optical and electrical sensors including, protein biochip, and mechanism of pathogenesis for Listeria monocytogenes during intestinal phase of infection and subsequent control strategies using probiotics and nanocomposites and teaches microbial foodborne pathogens and microbial techniques for food pathogens, intestinal microbiology, and immunology. Bhunia has 130 refereed articles, 2 text books, 2 edited books, 15 book chapters, 33 proceeding articles, 137 research abstracts, and delivered 89 invited talks, keynote, and plenary talks in national and international meetings. Bhunia was awarded Purdue Agriculture Research Award (2003), Purdue Faculty Scholar (2005), Purdue Team Award (2006), IFT R&D Award (2009), Outstanding Graduate Educator Award in the Department of Food Science (2010, 2011) and College of Agriculture (2013). Bhunia is a Member of National Advisory Committee on Microbiological Criteria for Foods, from 2013 till Present. Bhunia is an Editor-in-Chief: Open Journal of Medical Microbiology; Open Journal of Applied Biosensor; Editor: Journal of Nutrition and Food Sciences, Journal of Applied Biosensor, Journal of Biomedicine and Biotechnology and so on; and Editorial Board: Journal of Food Protection.
